A Waterfront Wedding with Golden Hour & Rainy Night Portraits

A Relaxed Celebration Along the Water

Kevin and Julie’s wedding day was the perfect mix of calm anticipation, heartfelt moments, and a little weather magic. Set along the water, their celebration unfolded at an easy pace—allowing them to stay present, enjoy their guests, and soak in every moment together.

Getting Ready with Space to Breathe

The day began at the hotel, where Kevin and Julie got ready in separate rooms. This setup made it easy to move back and forth, documenting both sides of the morning without anyone feeling rushed.

Those early hours were relaxed and full of quiet excitement—the kind of atmosphere that sets the tone for a smooth wedding day and allows genuine moments to unfold naturally.

A Scenic First Look by the Water

Shortly after the guys arrived at the venue, we positioned Kevin along the walking path overlooking the water for their first look. When Julie approached, the emotion between them was immediate—one of those moments where everything else fades away.

Afterward, we took advantage of the waterfront setting, photographing portraits near the marina before heading back up to prepare for the ceremony.

A Summer Ceremony with River Views

With the heat of the day in mind, Kevin and Julie chose to host their ceremony under a tent overlooking the river—keeping guests comfortable while still enjoying the scenery.

The ceremony felt intimate and relaxed, with the water serving as a calm, natural backdrop as they exchanged vows surrounded by family and friends.

Unexpected Rain & Memorable Night Portraits

As the reception got underway, the weather took a turn and rain began to fall. Luckily, everyone was already under the tent—and just as quickly as it started, it passed.

That brief storm gave us the chance to sneak out for something truly special. With the bridge glowing in the background, the night portraits became one of the most memorable parts of the day—proof that sometimes the unexpected creates the best moments.

A Day Focused on Being Present

Kevin and Julie’s wedding wasn’t about forcing perfection—it was about enjoying the experience together. From a calm morning to a waterfront ceremony and rain-kissed night photos, their day flowed naturally and stayed true to who they are.

These are the kinds of weddings that photograph beautifully because they’re real. Let’s connect! I’d love to hear your love story.
