A Coastal Wedding Day Filled With Emotion and Ocean Views

Manny and Maria’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of heartfelt moments, calm coastal energy, and intentional time spent together. From quiet getting-ready moments to emotional first looks overlooking the water, their day unfolded in a way that felt relaxed, meaningful, and deeply personal.

It was the kind of wedding day that reminds you how powerful slowing down can be.

Getting Ready Together, Yet Apart

The day began at the hotel, where Manny and Maria got ready in nearby rooms with their wedding parties. Having everyone close made the morning flow smoothly and kept the energy calm — one of my favorite ways to start a wedding day.

Once Maria was in her dress, she shared two incredibly emotional first looks: one with her brother and one with her father. These moments were filled with genuine reactions, tight hugs, and a few happy tears — the kind of moments that can’t be recreated and are always worth prioritizing.

A Private First Look With Ocean Views

After arriving at the venue, Manny and Maria chose to do their first look on the back deck overlooking the ocean. With the sun high and the day warm, the shaded deck offered both comfort and a stunning backdrop.

First looks like this allow couples to step away from the schedule, take a breath together, and fully soak in the moment — just the two of them — before the ceremony begins.

Why First Looks Create a Better Flow

Because Manny and Maria opted for a first look, they were able to complete most of their family portraits before the ceremony. This gave them the freedom to spend time together afterward and actually enjoy cocktail hour — something couples often don’t get to experience.

When thoughtfully planned, first looks create more flexibility, less stress, and more genuine moments throughout the day.

A Wedding Day Built Around What Matters

What stood out most about Manny and Maria’s wedding wasn’t just the ocean views — it was how intentionally they structured their day. They made room for emotion, connection, and presence, allowing their wedding to feel unhurried and authentic from start to finish.

Those choices always show in the final gallery.

If you’re planning a wedding and want photography that prioritizes real moments and meaningful experiences, I’d love to connect.
